The radical homosexuals and the ACLU have gone to court yet again to force their agenda on the American people!  This time the attack is in Nebraska.  Once again we must meet the challenge.

 

Dear Friend of the family,

 

            The homosexual activists and their allies, the ACLU, are at it again.  Whenever they lose a political battle, they march off to some liberal judge and try to get that judge to give them what they want.

 

            Well, they doing it again . . . this time in Nebraska.

 

            Let me tell you what’s happening . . . and how you can help.

 

            In the year 2000, the voters in Nebraska approved an amendment to their state constitution that banned homosexual marriages.  The amendment went into effect in 2001.

 

            Why is the ACLU so upset about the Nebraska ban?  Two reasons:  First, this is not just a law, it’s a constitutional Amendment!  And second, it doesn’t just ban homosexual marriage; it also bans civil unions, domestic partnerships or any other similar same-sex relationships!

 

            You can see that from our point of view this is the best possible situation.  The people of Nebraska declared that marriage would not be destroyed in their state.  But they went farther and said we won’t allow any “marriage substitutes” either.

 

They were protecting themselves from their own courts.  They didn’t want their courts to create civil unions like the Vermont Supreme Court has done.

 

            Of course, you can also see why from the homosexuals’ and the ACLU’s point of view this is the worst possible situation!  They have been shut done!

 

So of course they go to court!

 

But do you know why the Nebraska constitutional amendment is so great?

 

Because the National Legal Foundation helped write it!  Yes that’s right, your gifts and your prayers enabled the National Legal Foundation to be ready when concerned citizens of Nebraska contacted us and asked for help . . . and now we need your prayers and gifts again.

 

I remember as clear as if it were yesterday the conversations with our friend in Nebraska where we hammered out different versions of possible language.

 

We finally arrived at the language that would protect that state in every way.

 

AND NOW THAT LANGUAGE IS UNDER ATTACK IN THE LIBERAL FEDERAL COURTS.

 

The state of Nebraska has already asked the federal judge to throw out this ridiculous lawsuit . . . and he has refused.

 

SO NOW WE GEAR UP FOR BATTLE!

 

Please start praying right now.  Nebraska’s constitutional amendment is so powerful and so unique.  The attack will be fierce.

 

But imagine if we win!  States all across America—including your state—will then know that they could pass the same amendment and that it would stand up in court!

 

Every state in the nation could defend itself from homosexual marriage.

 

But imagine if we lose!  No state would be able to pass an amendment like this.  What a victory for the radical homosexual agenda.  So again, please, please pray.  And please let me hear from you today with your very best gift.
