Schools don’t own our children. Neither do federal judges. God gave parents the responsibility to raise children. Help us defend their right to do so!

Dear Friend of Freedom:

As you have undoubtedly heard, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has declared the Pledge of Allegiance unconstitutional because it contains the phrase "under God"!

I was as shocked and as outraged as you are!

And that’s why I am writing to you today.

I wanted to share with YOU how you can help in this critically important fight.

All too often, we feel as if we are at the mercy of unelected judges who are ruining our country.

BUT . . . there is something you can do. And I know you will want to take advantage of this opportunity.

Specifically, you can do two things.

First, you can sign the our Petition. The National Legal Foundation will compile your Petition with those from many other people and present it to our elected officials. This will have a great impact on them. It will let them know that the American people WANT "one nation under God" to stay in the Pledge!

Second, you can send your very best gift to support our work on this vital issue.

We may file as many as four briefs in this case. All of that work will take a lot of effort and a lot of money.

As you know, we do not charge our clients for our services. All of our work in defense of the Pledge of Allegiance will depend your generous gifts . . . and of all of our supporters.

And that’s why I’m writing to you today.

I wanted YOU to know about this opportunity for you to personally participate in the defense of the Pledge of Allegiance! It’s YOUR Pledge . . . and you have a right to help defend it.

If you have felt helpless to do anything about this situation, let me assure you that you are not. Your petition and your gift WILL make a difference.

If –- as many people believe –- this case goes to the United States Supreme Court, your voice will be heard there. . . IF you join with us TODAY!

When you read the Washington Times article , you will see that the Pledge of Allegiance has a GREAT chance of ultimately being saved at the United States Supreme Court. As I said in the article, the Ninth Circuit is the most overturned circuit in the country.

SO DON’T MISS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO BE PART OF THE TEAM THAT SAVES THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE!

This issue is incredibly important. It would be incredibly important if it were just about the Pledge of Allegiance. But it is about much more than just the Pledge.

Michael Newdow, the atheist who sued over the Pledge has brazenly announced that he will go after our National motto next!

That’s right! He wants "In God We Trust" off of our money.

And even that is not the end of it. Groups such as the ACLU, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, and the mis-named People for the American Way want to see every vestige of our religious heritage stripped from our public life.

I’ve written to our supporters many times before about the many attacks on the Ten Commandments.

The attack on the Pledge and on the motto are all part of the radical atheist agenda to wipe every vestige of our religious heritage from the public square.

AND YOU AND I MUST STOP THESE ATTACKS ON THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, OUR NATIONAL MOTTO, AND THE TEN COMMANDMENTS!

And that’s why I am hoping and trusting that you will, too.

The National Legal Foundation has been at the forefront of these battles for seventeen years.

With God’s help and your prayers and gifts, we have won incredible victories at the United States Supreme Court, at state Supreme Courts, and in many federal district courts and courts of appeals.

Together, we can do it again! All we need now is your support.

The Pledge of Allegiance –- and the motto and the Ten Commandments -- must be protected and it’s up to us to lead the fight. If we don’t do it, no one else will!
